  23. Try faxing stuff to & from the computer, and if you have any problems, 
  24. complain to PACBELL, and they would probably check out the line... they hate 
  25. modems, but faxes are important to them... hmmmm.

  27. Also, disconnect every phone and ans machine, etc. that is attached to that 
  28. line and try it again.  Sometimes, malfunctioning equipment causes line 
  29. probs.
